The Tale of a Forgotten Valley

Origins
17th Century

The valley owes its name to notary Bret, enriched by the Beaucaire fair. Here, he established a silk mill in a valley already dedicated to vines and culture.

Artistic Heritage

Owned by the Hugues family, artists and sculptors.Jean-Baptiste Hugues, Prix de Rome, lived here. Then came silence… and nature reclaimed its place.

The Encounter

Jean-Luc Placet and Frédéric Petitbon discovered the valley.
Smitten by its charm, they called their friend Éloi Dürrbach:
« Éloi, could you help us make a garage wine here? »

Today
A Renaissance

Two hectares, cultivated without inputs, on terraced slopes.A rare, artisanal wine.A blank page turned into a promise fulfilled.

“We had dinner this Friday evening at a lovely restaurant (Edu in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence), and on that occasion, we discovered your wine (Mas de Bret, red, 2020) — we absolutely loved it.”

“We had dinner yesterday in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and tasted your Miracle rosé and your white wine. We were truly charmed. We are from Rennes in Ille-et-Vilaine, and I don’t believe we can find your wine at a wine shop or elsewhere in this region. Could you advise us on how we might purchase a few bottles?”
